Afed Education outsourced the development of an Augmented Reality experience to the Jean Swainson Foundation. They helped the Auckland Council & the Auckland Libraries to create an educational Matariki Augmented Reality experience that also shows how to find the star cluster.

NZ'S FIRST WEB BASED, MARKER LESS AR EXPERIENCE
The Matariki AR experience uses viewers' smartphones to bring Matariki to life in augmented reality without needing to download an app.
The Matariki experience shows ideas around Matariki and the 4 founding concepts of Māori Television.
CODING COURSE for kaiako and teachers to use in class.
Kaiako and teachers can use the pdf guide book and portal to learn how to facilitate the course.
It allows schools and kura to run their own coding courses for 12 months or 36weeks of 30min lessons.

DIGITAL EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE PACKAGE
Jean Swainson Foundation has been the creative digital agency behind a new Educational Game/APP for smartphones, tablets, chromebooks and PC's that will help make learning and education more immersive and interactive. It is called AFED Education.
"AFED EDUCATION" is a the platform that will deliver the digital content. Content Producers and Educational Resource developers can all use the platform to help ensure their content reaches New Zealanders in classrooms and homes all across the country.
Not only will children want to learn more but it will also help teachers and parents by providing easy to follow lesson plans.
