The Jean Swainson Foundation is proud to be part of this amazing new initiative. "We moved our offices to Wairoa in 2019, knowing the Wairoa Tech Collective and Korou Digital Trust were doing amazing things in the town." comments Cam Swainson-Whaanga, founder of the foundation.

"We were part of testing what training rangatahi in Wairoa in the digital creative skills could look like for digital creative agencies like us." Cam comments further.

3 rangatahi living in Wairoa were hired and taught software such as Unity Game Development, Video editing and photoshop. "They proved they had the creative skills and abilities to do the work, I was really blown away by their creative ideas". Cam says.

Below is the original full article of all the funding that Wairoa will receive across many different areas.
